Happiness

Happiness is a momentary state of a feeling of contentment and as most humans are always reaching for things beyond their capacity, they never are content and so the question of being happy forever doesn’t arise and they give in to the feelings of bitterness, depression and on the whole are more sad than happy.

People think of committing suicide etc, as they are unable to put up with the miseries of life and its disappointments. Sometimes life does become very over-bearing but a strong-willed person aware of his/her capabilities and limitations can get through and look up to life, if possible with rose-tinted glasses.

After all, nothing is permanent, except change. Life cannot be only a dark abyss full of sorrow for anyone, there is always a ray of hope, joy of life that supplements the existence of human life. In fact, life never is totally dark; one can always find something to paint it colourful, if they wished. We must face the truth and accept our limitations and not try to run away from reality. In search of happiness people generally find sorrows. The idea of being happy also varies person to person, people are disillusioned because their image of self and their capabilities shatter and give way to pessimism.

So it’s best to discover oneself and find our limitations and capabilities, then work on the positive points to hone them and try to erase the negative points. One should have no illusions of self, knowing oneself through and through is the only way to happiness. Life on whose path the Sun does set and darkness takes over but is lit nonetheless when the moon sends out its rays of hope which is enough to keep one going, until the sunrises again
into our life.
